Dear Mr. Giraldo:

On behalf of the Port Director Carmen Lunetta and our staff, I thank you for attending our recent luncheon for representatives of the consulates and bi-national chambers of commerce. It was truly a pleasure having you with us and we hope that you are now more familiar with the vast cargo and cruise operations at the port.

As the port of Miami strives to become the fourth largest port in the United States by 2000, we will rely on our strong relationships with representatives of our trading partners. All of the port staff present at the luncheon -- Wade Battles, Angie Wright and Raul Alfonso from the marketing office, Pamela Boynton and Ron Hill of the director's office and Hydi Travis and Melanie Cuti of the promotions and advertising office-- look forward to building a mutually beneficial working relationship with you.

Since you have shown a keen interest in international trade as it relates to the port of Miami, we have placed your name on our mailing list for the upcoming Customs, Trade and Finance Symposium & Exhibition. As we mentioned at the luncheon, the symposium is slated for February 25-27, 1996 at the Hotel Intercontinental in downtown MIami. We will continue to update you with the most current information and developments regarding the event.

Again, it was a pleasure meeting you. We look forward to working with you in the near future.

Cordially

Lori Baer
